Thumb?

So Amelia saw Josiah getting his diaper changed, and said, "he has
another thumb!"

Thumb?

Farewell ceremony

The first time we saw him

He had this worried face for the first couple days.  Now he smiles and even laughs.
The funniest part of meeting him for the first time was that he was wearing pink pants and a pink shirt.  We were really trying to get away from that color.

Preschool eschatology

I read a fridge magnet to Amelia: "And surely I am with you always, to
the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:20). I said to Amelia, "That
means Jesus is always with us."

Amelia, very excitedly: "Jesus can come?!?!"

Elizabeth, very seriously: "Amelia, let me tell you something. One
day Jesus is going to come down and take us all into Heaven. I think
you're talking about that."

Ok, not the best take-down of postmillenialism, but solid nonetheless.

Elliebean the reader

Sitting at the table, spying a receipt on the table: "That says
Walmart! I read it without even knowing it said Walmart!"

Yupper. She's a-readin'.

Funny

Dora the Explorer asked “what was your favorite part of the trip?” Amelia looked at me and said, “I don’t like trips.”

Hot air balloon

Amelia held this up and said, "Look, it's a hot air balloon!"

Pretty good thinkin'.

Amelia's talking like her sister

"This binky is all messy. It has all my ketchup on it. Can you wash it
off please?"

Kids her age are supposed to put together 3-word sentences. Riiiiiiight.

Deep snow

Playing in the snow

And falling in the snow

and falling...

and falling...

and falling...

and falling...

I give up!

Amelia's first time in the snow

I don't think she liked it that much!

Snowbound

So what to do when it snows and snows and snows.  Besides play in the snow (something I HATE!),
we made some puppets...
 baked some chocolate chip cookies...

and, of course, read A LOT of books and played A LOT of games.

Snow Family

Loving her snowman

Snow angels

The building phase

Papa and Elizabeth's snowman

Christian said this was the first snowman he ever made.  I couldn't believe that since he's from Cleveland and I know it snows there.
